The 2027 NAEP Conference takes place on Friday 5th March 2027

The next NAEP Conference will take place on Friday 5th March 2027.

The conference is entitled Enabling Learning and Belonging in a Shifting Health and Care Landscape.

As health and social care systems continue to face increasing demand, workforce pressures, and evolving models of care, the role of educators in practice has never been more vital, or more complex.

Ensuring sufficient placement capacity, supporting a diversifying learner population, and integrating digital innovation are all placing new expectations on educators working across practice and academic settings.

This national conference places a renewed emphasis on the experience and wellbeing of educators in practice, recognising that sustainable, high-quality learning environments depend on a supported and empowered educator workforce.

While learners remain central to our mission, this year’s focus acknowledges that educator capacity, and the critical enablers and support within health and social care.

Bringing together educators from the NHS, local authorities, social care, private and voluntary sectors, and higher education, this one-day event will explore how we can maintain safe and inclusive learning environments while responding to system pressures.

Together, we will examine how placement models, educator roles, and approaches to learning adapt to meet current and future challenges.

Through keynote speakers, evidence and research informed posters and presentations, and collaborative discussions, we will consider how practice education can evolve, not only to sustain provision, but to improve equity, efficiency, and impact for both educators and learners.

Join us to share insight, learn from peers, and help shape a resilient and future-ready approach to practice education.
