King’s College will host this year’s three-day CAIPE (Centre for the Advancement of Interprofessional Education) conference, 18–20 June 2020, at the Strand campus in central London.
The title of this year’s event is Reduction of Harm Through Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice.
The conference is accepting 150-word abstracts on current or recent research relevant to the following sub-themes by 27 March 2020:
- Innovations in interprofessional education
- Educating teams for patient safety
- Complexity: consequences for interprofessional working and learning
- New healthcare professional roles: teaching and integrating new professionals
Successful submissions will receive invitations to submit a 10-minute presentation in video format by 25 May 2020.
Acceptance of the offer to submit includes the understanding that presentations and abstracts will appear on the conference website.
CAIPE works to promote and develop the health and wellbeing of individuals, families and communities through interprofessional education, collaborative practice, and research facilitating workforce development.
This conference provides a forum that prioritises deliberations over presentations.
Our aim is to take on the question of how to realise interprofessionalism and interprofessional learning in ways that change how care happens.
What kinds of interprofessional learning and working are needed to tackle the increasingly complex circumstances that define the real world of care provision?
Submit abstracts and find further information on the King’s College website.
