Professor Lindy McAllister has been appointed as co-editor of the International Journal of Practice-based Learning in Health and Social Care.
She joins editors Professor Lynn Clouder, Dr Helen Buchanan and Dr Virginia King in January 2018.
Professor McAllister is Professor of Work Integrated Learning (WIL) at the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Sydney.
She leads innovation in placements, education for practice, and research and scholarship in clinical education, clinical supervision and WIL.
A speech pathologist with a PhD in clinical education and supervision, Professor McAllister has worked across the health professions in leadership and capacity-building roles in Australia and internationally.
Her extensive research interests include models of student placements, education and support of placement supervisors, new graduate work readiness, internationalisation of curricula, and quality of placements.
The International Journal of Practice-based Learning in Health and Social Care is a peer-reviewed online journal, free to read for all all health and social care professionals engaged in educational activities.
